BRE - Biblical Studies, Discipleship

The Discipleship Track is designed to develop in students the ministry skills for efficiently and competently motivating and training believers in Christ for their personal spiritual development and a life of Christian service.

Career Opportunities

  • Christian educator (non-licensed)

  • Small group pastor or teacher
  • Children's, youth, young adult, or senior adult pastor
  • Preparation for graduate school

Measurable Learning Outcomes:

  1. The student will describe the Biblical and theological foundations of the discipleship ministry.
  2. The student will analyze the needs and competencies of the different age and interest groups and formulate strategies for discipleship for each group.
  3. The student will envision a comprehensive discipleship ministry in a church or Christian agency.
  4. The student will demonstrate competency in the practice of developing disciples.
